Fall Family Festival

Lake Lawn Resort is prepping for the changing season with an extended weekend getaway packed with fall favorites during its annual Fall Family Festival the weekend of October 9 through the 12.
Special entertainment for the whole family will be available throughout the weekend. Activities include: a Friday evening performance by Rock Central students, old-fashioned yard games like three-legged and gunny sack races, scarecrow building, and crafty amusement by a balloon sculptor, caricature artist, face painter and fortune teller. Resort guests will also enjoy complimentary hayrides and the opportunity to explore Lake Lawn’s very own pumpkin patch replica. A decorative doughnut station well equipped with frosting and other sweet toppings will be open Saturday and Sunday at $3 per doughnut.
The festival will continue into Saturday evening with a barn dance with caller from 7 PM to 9 PM at no extra cost for guests and just $5 for community members. A full cash bar and concession items, including sloppy joes, chili and corn muffins, will be available for barn dance goers.
The Fall Family Festival Harvest Buffet will round out the weekend on Sunday from 12:30 PM to 3 PM. Cranberry blush apple cider, apple walnut salad, roasted butternut squash soup, apple bourbon barbecue grilled chicken and cream cheese pumpkin bars are just a handful of the delicious assortments that’ll be served. Tickets are available $25 for adults, $15 for children ages 4 to 12, and free for children three and under. A family-friendly movie on the lakefront at 8 PM will conclude the Fall Family Festival.

Shake the Lake returns with a rockin’ range of talent
Get moving and grooving during our second annual Shake the Lake Music Festival, bringing good-vibe tunes to Lake Lawn’s shoreline from August 21-23.
On Friday night, attendees will enjoy the high-energy sounds of country band Bell Cain. Voted “Country Group of the Year” by WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) in 2012, the six-piece group delivers nonstop explosive performance driven by solid instrumentals and complex harmonies.
Saturday night will feature Southern Drawl, a lively group made up of members from Nashville and Knoxville, Tennessee. Playing a fusion of country, southern rock, tropical rock, and bluegrass, their in-your-face stage presence provides an unforgettable performance that beckons back to the days of true live music.
On Sunday, attendees can transport themselves with tropical rock and roll sounds of The Boat Drunks. Having opened for Jimmy Buffett, The Beach Boys, and Little Feat at concerts across the nation, the easygoing group will play original music along with Buffett hits and covers of The Beatles, The Eagles, and more.
