Traveling Through the Vineyards with the Taub Family
Fine wine has always been the family’s north star. And after watching his
father and grandfather explore Italy’s mountainous north in the 1970’s —
ultimately introducing American consumers to fine Italian pinot grigio —
Marc and now his son, Jake, are forging new paths in some of Napa’s most
exciting appellations and districts. The valley oak pictured on the labels is a
familiar figure in any Napa landscape, honoring the family’s provenance and
devotion to careful stewardship of the land; the diamond embedded at the
roots signals the legacy of future generations to come. Taub Family
Vineyards represents some of the best sites in Rutherford, Oakville,
Yountville, Mount Veeder, and Howell Mountain. Additionally, through a
relationship with famed grower Andy Beckstoffer, the Taub family have
access to the remarkable Beckstoffer Vineyard Georges III and Beckstoffer
Missouri Hopper sites — some of the most hallowed soils and microclimates
in California. Each wine embodies a pure expression of its respective AVA
and microsite, striving for elegance and extraordinary balance between ripe
fruit, deftly integrated oak, and velvety-soft tannins.
